RE: Gas engine choice for Lanier Stinger 120
My Stinger 120 has the fuselage sides reinforced with 1/16th in. plywood, from the firewall to the wing trailing edge. I use it primarily for aero tow.
It has been flown with a Zenoah G38, a G45, and a G62. It flies the best with the G45.
I think it would be a great flyer with a lighter and more powerful Brisson 3.2 or Da50.
Keep it light and a DLE30 would probably make it an excellent Sunday flyer.
