Keep in mind if you want to do a competition scale model, you can model it after the Waldo Pepper aircraft. You just need proper documentation.
You will have a scale aircraft of the plane flown in the movie.
As far as a DR1 flown in combat during the war, I do not think this one was. Lolo was basically a play on Ernst Udet Lo. In fact that charchter was basically him.
