Default RE: Guys I want to a bad ***** cat on lipo...

Good choice, I think you will be happy. I was hitting 45+ stock on 5s everytime. On 4s high 30s. You should not need to do any mods. Some guys are doing the rudder mod. It helps eliminate the bounce this hull gets. I found by adjusting the cg more aft then what the stock battery mounts allow and adjusting the strut the bounce can be eliminated without any mods. For a prop I would say a Grim 42x55, Octura m445. On the m445 watch your temps. Good runtime is about 5 minutes although I time my runs between 3-5 minutes. Things you can do is start reading the manual and herehttp://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...splay.php?f=49I have had good luck and like with these liposhttp://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10305their are some things you can do to make your setup more reliable. One thing is to change the motor/esc connectors over to something heavier. I use 5.5mm bulletshttp://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=2087also change thedeans connectors out with something more suited for FE boats. I use the same 5.5mm bullets for my esc power wires as well, but it can be easy to short something out if not paying attention. For someone new to boat I would say EC5's. They are easy to use like the deans but can handle more amperage http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9194happy boating!
