RE: FW-190 Paint Scheme experts enter
There is a Fw 190 out there with a PRIMER coloured rudder, which could easily be interpreted as red.
I can TRY to post some more details when I get home, but I'm a bit swamped with office work since I got back from Germany.
Two I know for sure that have been pictured are Wk.no. 0005 and Wk.no. 0027. Both more than likely had unfinished, primer only rudders.
Supposedly (its still being argued to the day) that there is a Red "1", from IV./JG3 that had a full red cowl in the early days of 1944. Some people say the cowl was black, others yellow and yet others red.
