Default RE: hpi hellfire

ORIGINAL: 363boilermaker

i ran my hellfire for the fist time in a year.let warm up, took couple laps around the field. And then something in the drive tran boke. it want move, front or back wheels not pulling. need help, i dont know what needs fixed
These types of problems need some hands on investigation. I doubt anyone will be able to go straight to the problem, just suggestions of things to check. With that said, are you sure both thefront and back are not pulling? If this is the case, I would suspect a component common to front andrear drive. This would be the clutch or center diff. With the vehicle running and on the starter box (wheels off the ground), give it a bit of throttle. Does the clutch bell turn with your finger lightly on it?If yes, pull the center diff and inspect the inner gears for damage. This assumes the spur gear/clutch bell are adjusted and in good shape.
