In my experience, offset rudders work best on hulls that don't heel over such as hydros, riggers and cats. That inline rudder in the pic would be my choice. Just get a cheapo stinger that will provide clearance with the largest (longest) prop you will likely use. A 4mm (or larger) flex shaft will do nicely.
