Default RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear

DragonRacingCars, you're right on the money. You shouldn't have to spend $300 on an ARF and not have the confidence that your plane will hold together in flight. That's absolutely ridiculous. That Beaver dude is totally whacked!!! What idiot would spend $300 on an ARF and want to put in all that work to reinforce the wings and stabs. I had the same problem with my Hangar 9 60 size Corsair. The plane folded in mid air because the wings just collapsed. I lost over $500 on that plane, including my lipo batteries. Horizon Hobby wouldn't do much for me on a replacement. Never buying from them again.

I don't know how these manufacturers can put out ARFs like this and have them fail in flight and do nothing about it. Posts for the Hangar 9 60 size Corsair go back to 2004 about the wings failing in flight. The Hangar 9 60 size Corsair crashed because there wasn't enough glue in the wings holding the wood together. What are these guys thinking? Skimping on glue? It's a $260 plane. I also have a Thunder Tiger Rare Bear, but I picked it up cheap, $150. For that price, I'm going in to reinforce everything, but not for $300. You've got to be nuts to spend that kind of money and do all that work as you would for a kit.
