Yes, the cost may deter some modelers, but I will try and keep it within reason. The one thing I will be able to do is make different scale sizes.
The fabric will be made in scale size which would be 12.5" wide for 1/4 scale and I am hoping to make it as long as 96". I guess you would say it was in strips when compared to the usual roll of model covering.
