its like giving your kid your beloved 70 mustang, and he goes and sells it in a auction or takes it to the demolition derby

Yeah, and then he asks if he can have your outher 69 cuda. How would you feel after that?

Would still not pummel my child, just a personal parenting preference I guess...
What if it just wasn't your kid, maybe it's your neighbor, or someone else what would you do then?

NOPE STILL NOT GOING TO BEAT A CHILD. personal preference again I guess.
