Yes my 7C came with the 600mah nicad pack but I swapped it for the Eneloop 2000mah NiMh pack from the local hobby shop..

It works perfectdly and I get over 10 hours of constant use with this pack..

The 7C is a beautiful radio and works well, butif you can swing the $$ for the Super8FG it is a much nicer radio.. (and 14 channel)
