I built this plane as my trainer a few years back and until you posted that picture I couldn't remember how that went together, now it comes back to me. Yeah, probably not a big deal with the warp. Try dry fitting the spars and that piece and see if it makes the whole assembly warp. I'll bet it doesn't.
