Correct, had overlooked that little aid as well as theserial number in the battery compartment.
A small"dot" will simply show say 0910 = made October 2009.
Serial number isused for tracking/service purposes - like somany products today, no warranty here if serial number is missing/illegible.
Unfortunately, the small date of manufacture sticker mayget dislodged with frequent battery removal/replacement for charging or be removed to hide age of a second hand unit.
