RE: A little help in this area please.
Is he landing on low rates or high rates ? If the cg isa little aft within thereccomendedrange, itwill slow down a littel better, but if the cg is anywhere near correct, the Edge does not need to land that hot. They are very light and will respond quickly to any added power or headwind, but they will slow down very nicely when you learn how. They do take a little practice tolearn how to flair without ballooning back up or stalling out.My guess is he justneeds to practice his glide slope and practice stalling it out at a higher altitude to get a feel for how slow he can go with it before he has to add in some throttle again. If the plane is too responsive onhigh rates, then he needs touse low rates or tame down the throws on his elevator. He may also needto modify his approach to come in a little steeper with less power before he flairs so that there is less chance of stalling and groundeffectwill play a lesser role.
If there is a club with an instructor near you, it would be well worth it to get some experienced one-one-one help.
