Default RE: New E.F. 48

Hello,

I just finished my Vanquish MkII and got a chance to fly it over the weekend. What a sweet little plane. I am using a Hacker A30-14L, a Hyperion 4S 2500 mah pack, a Castle ICE 50 and a 11x7 prop. With that set-up I am running about 39-40 amps and 550 watts or so. I was a little surprised by this since the Hacker has a lower Kv than the recommended Torque motor (800 vs 820). The plane flies well on that set-up, but it is a little fast. I could try a 12x6 prop, but on the ground, the watt meter was indicating about 650 watts at about 46 amps or so which is a bit much for the motor.

This got me thinking that maybe I could fly on a 12x10 prop and 3S. Anyone flying this plane on 3S? I could also go up to a 13x10 as well. The reason why I am using a high pitch prop is to keep the pitch speed at 60 mph or higher.

Thanks,

Teo
