My last previous post in this thread was on page 25!
My Guanli A-10 with brushed motors has been collecting dust since the end of 2008. I decided to try and fly it today.
All stock, except for a 1450 mAh 3S lipo. And the batteries in the 72Mhz transmitter had leaked and so I threw it in the trash and installed an OrangeRx receiver on 2.4Ghz into the model.
I fly at Apollo XI field in Los Angeles and it has a long runway.
Well the plane that is not supposed to fly, does.
It was marginal, yes. Slow climb out, I got it up to about 50' and made one circuit of the pattern and then came in for a landing. I did not want to push my luck and go fetch it in the bramble bushes if the motors siezed up. [X(]
But I just wanted to pop in and say that "yes, the stock brushed motor version can indeed fly under its own power."
