I've used skis and I've used floats on the snow. Unless the snow is near perfect, floats have worked better for me.
Yep, floats work the best on snow. On some of my scale planes I have used the Dubro Skis with good results. Me personally no longer fly in the winter anymore, I don't like snow blindness or numb fingers, so I'll keep the winter flying for the young folks.
