That's not true.
The wings are glued together and form a single wing unit.
You can remove the wings from the plane, which leaves the servo on the wing itself along with all of the interconnects.
You merely have to disconnect a bunch of cables... e.g. flaps, ailerons, retract servos, etc.
However without the wings, the plane becomes difficult to stand upright with the retracts down.... so I carry my plane to and from the field intact.
If you pull up the retracts before removing the wings, things are easier however.
