The Thunder Tiger is a total bargain for its price. It has electrics equivalent to the Castle ones, don't worry about that.

Both the race cars you pointed out are decent, but as you say, the Xray is getting on a bit, Xray has a dedicated electric, the XB808e. As for the Mugen, an MX6eco with a conversion? The MBX6eco shouldn't need a conversion. I would steer clear of it if it was once a nitro, as the eco is built from the ground up to be electric. Why do you want 2200kv? 2000 is about right for 6s bashing and 4s racing, but in any case don't worry too much about the kv as long as it's above 1800 and below 2650, you can just gear accordingly.
