A Delta Airlines commuter turbo-prop crashed about a year ago, killing all. Simular situation, altho icing was on wings: a crew memebr (I forget whether it was pilot or co-pilot) kept trying to pull up, despite the fact that the aircraft was stalling. They had enough altitude at the onset to recover, IF they had attempted to increase airspeed rather than climb.
I don't know, I've studied aviation for almost 50 of my 60 years, altho I am not a (full scale) pilot, but I can't figure out how these highly trained pilots don't have the common sense to put the nose down, when they are stalling.
Good story, thanks for posting. I rarely read such long posts, but that one was worth it
They often are on instruments and have no outside visibility. They have the common sense, but nothing to trigger it, as they haven't recognized the stall.
