Is it possible to make my own reciver?
It is possible, but why would you want to? You can buy a micro receiver for next to nothing that works and is reliable. You can spend maybe 2 to 10 times that to try to make one from scratch that you don't know if it will be reliable if you do get it to work.
Some companies had kits for you to make your own radios from their kits. They are gone now.
If you are trying to save a buck, that isn't the way to do it. If you are doing it for the fun of electronics, it might be fun.
