Default RE: Heaviest WWII Warbird flown with a G62?

ORIGINAL: ticketec

Mate has the Vailly Sea Fury at 42lbs flying at sea level with a G62. Milked all he could out of it before deciding to upgrade to a GT-80 for some more get-up-and-go.

Sell the boat anchor[X(] and get a DLE-55 in there. more Hp's

Thanks

dave

correct it flew quite well with the G62 but did not have a lot in reserve on the take off roll, they were very scale like though! Converted it to electronic ignition, 90 degree carb bend and 21x12 prop. The prop alone made a huge diference to it.
I have since fitted a GT80, not flown as yet.

P47 has huge wing area and at 38lbs the G62 will fly it nicely. Dont be afraid of that weight and engine combo, fit it and enjoy the model. It will be a nice combo.
