OK, this has been my first chance to come on here since I got back from Germany this week. I have had a close look at the TX and handled it too. It will be better in the hands than the 4000 was since it has over and under sliders at the edges and sockets for switches on the edges of the case. The overall size is the same as the 4000 and for best comfort the integral strap hangers will be my choice, but you can just hand hold it. Overall weight will be 1.6 Kgs. The build quality is fantastic. Personally I love the shiny black finish, it has real class. You will just have to polish it that's all.

The styling is Mercedes Benz to me.[8D]
The software is work in progress. I and others will be doing some work with the software developers to get the software where we want it to be. So Multiplex are listening to what their customers are saying.
The set is totally software driven, so upgrades will be easily uploaded from the website, as has been the case with the Royal Evo and the Rx's.
The sticks are the best I have ever felt, even better than JR who have also got really excellent sticks. It does not look or feel tacky or toy town, like the latest Futaba set.
They will develop an inbuilt speech output device for the Profi Tx but the Souffleur (sure I had one of those for dinner the other night), will work with any M-Link telemetry Rx. So people like me who have several sets can use this with any. Some people have used the M-link Tx module and Rx's with a different brand of Tx, and they too can use this device.
It will take a while until it is actually in the shops, but then MPX are not known for sending out underdeveloped product. I was talking to the head of servicing the other day and he explained that since they launched M-Link they have had a returns rate close to zero.
The little round knobs on the top corners are to adjust mixer values in flight (quite safe to do so on MPX Tx's) . So if you need elevator compensation of flaps and gear, you can sort this out on one flight and it is done and dusted when you land.
Mine is ordered.
