RE: Royal Zero Kit Build into Rufe
Finally got to starting the fuselage by laying out the formers and sawing them in half at the equator. Once the side keel pieces were down, starting at
bulkhead # 3, they were centered all the way down to bulkhead # 9, squared, pinned and cemented in place. Since the stab gets cemented against # 9 and it had to be moved forward 3/8ths of an inch, I traced around that bulkhead about 3/32nds larger on spare plywood and made a new one to fit in the new location. Forward balsa blocks were glued against formers # 3 & 4 (instrument panel bulkhead) and part of it has already been razor planed and sanded close to its final shape.
Looking forward to sheeting the sides and getting the tail blocks in place as the next step.
