Default RE: ESM P-51 Build thread

ORIGINAL: oldtimer4759

hi,
another extremely important point, the Recommended CofG in the book is WRONG. it is WAY too far back, there are several threads for building this model, here are a couple,
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_93...tm.htm#9371367
this one is for the 51B model, but still a lot of good info, http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1141908
first off check the CofG the book recommends, it should be about 130mm max, back from the glue joint in the centre of the wing, there are a few very dissapointed pilots that used the book numbers, the book throws are pretty ridiculous as well.
the DLE30 is a good engine, there will be heaps of power,

I have the ESM P-51B kit, with an RCG26 engine, 130mm CofG, it is good,

this is all true i lost my KMP mustang due to this problem.
