It looks to me like we can all stop wondering why manufacturers are shying away from kits and just ARFing it.
I'm willing to bet that the REAL goldmine is the ARF manufacturer who also sells the SAME airplane in kit form. Obviously it is in kit form prior to whoever assembles the airplane to make it to ARF form.
That way you know how well it's built... Imagine a GP Pitts, known for upper wing issues, but if you built it in kit form, you'd fix those issues and anything else PRIOR to covering it... No seams where joints are, etc...
I'd love a kit version of the Aeroworks 31% edge 540t, but they just have ARF versions out

I'm sure it's built perfectly, but with my budget, I could afford a kit, then put it together as I can afford it...
