our club uses the dx5/dx5 comdination, works fine, when seting up the trims, after trimming the plane out with the master and with the plane on the ground, not running, hold the trainer switch down on the master and watch for movement on the control sufaces, adjust the trims on the slave until you don't see any movement when engaing the slave box,
