I bought a Zimpro Beaver several years ago and am about half way done with it. Got sidetracked with other projects and just recently got back on it. It as I understand from an e-mail I got from Dennis at Zimpro may have been an early kit. I think it was a good value but I changed a few things I didn't care for. Dennis is good about answering questions and all in all I think it is the best Beaver I have seen. I have a OS BGX 3500 in mine and almost put a small gas engine in it , something like my Taurus 2.7. I think Dennis is flying a little closer to sea level as he recommends a Moki 1.8. I don't think that would cut it on floats at 2500'. I also have his float hardware which is nice, but will be using some foam float a friend of mine cuts.
