If all else fails, and you can't get it loose, you can use two aileron servos, one in each wing bay. Fairly easy to do and is a better quality system anyway. Then just cut off the vertical portion of the torque rods and don't use them at all. If they bind, cut them off with a Dremel cutting wheel where they enter the tube at the outboard end.
