Here's how you test if your pushrods are strong enough. Mount everything up, then hold the control surface still while you push your control stick to full deflection. If your holding the control surface keeps the servo from moving, then you're good. But if the rod gives and lets the servo move, your rods aren't stiff enough or supported well enough for the amount or torque your servos put out.
