As a point of information, some years ago, like in the late nineties, a company in Germany produced a turbine called the "Skypipe". It had a long afterburner exhaust nozzle of divergent/convergant design which contained an afterburner flame holder and fuel supply nozzle(s).
As I recall, it was advertised in RCJI, and sold by one of the European distributors. They were never introduced here for USA sales.
I do not know when they ceased production.
I am sure some of you recall it, and some may have seen it run.

Perhaps Ali could shed more light on these engines.
