That's a great piece of engineering!
I did not know the P-47 canopies were powered. It must have been tough to bail out waiting for it to open.
I thought they were like the P-40 & P-51 canopies and were pulled back by the pilot in one big yank.
I'll have to use simple air cylinders to simulate the pilot yanking it open.
