I sell a base unit that can be used with Tamiya's Battle unit. These are built to work with the DBC3 or Clark boards, a person would have to install the Tamiya 5 pin jst so it could be plugged into the MFU.

The units Immortal hobby sells and the ones Bob mentioned above do work fine, but I have suspected they don't have 45 degree defenses so are more easily lit up.

So this is something that needs confirmation as Bob's comments are contradictory to Curtis's with respect to the 45 degree defense of "Carl's battle unit.,



The HL unit below has been converted to work with the Tamiya system. I used to sell these but they are labor intensive and took up too much of my time to make. But with no Tamiya units on the horizon what are you gonna do. The cost to convert an HL apple is about $7.00. So for less then $20 you can build a unit that looks good, has fins and is good to about 25 meters. Slightly less then the Tamiya apple.
