Default U.S. passenger jet nearly collided with drone in March: FAA

It was at 2,300 feet and about five miles from the airport when it encountered the remote controlled jet. The FAA investigated but could not identify the pilot of the drone.
NOTE: from the description this "drone" was a RC jet at 2,300 feet altitude? Are there any AMA club fields five miles from the approach to Talahassee? And BTW per the AMA interpretation of AC 91-57 you are only limited to 400 feet within three miles of an airport.

What about "see and avoid"???????????
