Default ARF power switch hatch

I have a Decathlon i am assembling and want to keep the cowl mounts hidden as well as the Charge port/ power switch. In the attached picture right above the top servo on the side of the fuse you can see a rectangle cut out in the side of the fuse where it is just Red ultracote. I want to add a hatch there that i have made out of balsa that it is fiberglassed. The door fits perfect but before i epoxy it in with hinges my question is once i cut the ultracote on the outside of the fuse does anyone think after it is cut that i will have a problem with the ultracote peeling from the hatch or on the fuse aft of the hatch after flying for a while?
