Default Slaving channels on a Futaba 7C

I have been fooling with my transmitter, trying to slave a channel to another, for about a week and have gotten nowhere. I want to slave channel six to channel one for ailerons without the use of flaperons and channel five to channel two for split elevator operation. The book is very vague in this instance and the guys I have talked to who "know" how to do this just say to got to the P-mix screen(s) and it is right there. Well, maybe it is, but I can't figure it out. We are dealing with two different screens in the P-mix setup and I don't even know what some of it means. The manual skims over this subject very quickly with very little useful information. First is the on/off/inh screen. Second is the rate and ofs>set screen (I don't even know what that means). Is there someone here who can explain to me, step by step, how to slave one channel to another?
