In the 6EX the voltage from a 2S Lipo is too low.
When fully charged a 2S battery will be 8.4 volts,
The 6EX manual recommends landing as soon as possible if the voltage is below 8.9 Volts and land immediately if below 8.5 Volts.
A 3S Lipo is possible in the 6ex and many people use them successfully however there is a risk that too high voltage from a fully charged 3S battery (12.6 Volts) may damage the radio.
