Hey Tom, you are just up the road from me! Good advice from all the members, go big, and go wood. By building a bigger model it will allow you to add that extra little weight in detail or fancy do-dads and still have a respectable wing loading. I also am a big fan of wood for the structure of a airplane, it just seems more solid and the vibration seems less than a glass and foam model. Maybe I'll see you at the Williamsburg club warbird fun-fly next year, I will usually go there if the weather looks good. Best of luck with your P-47, (I have always liked the razor back version) I also really like the colors and paint on your 53 Vette R/C car
