When i read his book i was really impressed with the man. He was simply a soldier fighting for his country, not an idealist in any way. He cared more for his men then himself and he really was a national hero. No matter which side you where on these men need to be remembered.

Over the years I thought of trying to get him to sign a copy, but really didn't know how to approach it without seeming like some over-zealous-fan-type.
