the bates is ALOT more work and money than the taylor, i'm in the process of building the BATES MKV and the plans are
full of mistakes , but ive managed to fix most of them , there is no listing for a cowl on the bates site, besides
the price of fiberglass cowls has gone INSANE !! the sepp tempest cowl is almost 100 bucks from the uk, the taylor typhoon
and taylor corsair cowl both from traplet are well over 75 bucks . im guessing if there is a bates 40 cowl , its close to
100.00 . the fuse on the taylor is 3 times easier to build than the bates. i stay away from bates , ziroli , and vailly because their
too labor intensive . just too many things going on.
