I am surprised that none of you sharp eyed Saitoists noticed that the airpump is missing from this engine. Clarence Lee noted this in his last test of the 1.82. A good move when you consider that the by pass gasses are going to vent the crankcase anyway. The right cylinder has a standard cam cover installed when the pump was removed.
The idea of the pump comes from the fact that the uneven firing twins do not produce positive/negative crankcase pressure to scavenge the moisture from the case.
IF it was my engine I would rig up a crankcase breather line to the intake manifold. Similar to the PCV systems used on automotive engines.
