Default Doeas this matt cote look good?

I bought this Humbrol 49, "Matt Cote" to be applyied as a final layer on a tank. But before ruining the model, I want to show how this product looks and the results after a test.

I stirred the product for quite a long time.

Even being matt, it should be clear, to some extent. In the past I'd been using Hombrol matt cote from a bigger glass container (28ml); but this time I could only find this one as available.

I tested it on a plastic track that was painted brown, now look how it ended after one layer of this varnish.

Do you think it's ok, can I use it or should I go to the shopand claim for a replacement?

Thanks
