Ron,
I did both. I raised the front of the stab a little, maybe 1/4" and moved the CG forward on the rebuild.

The plane is much more stable in pitch and is pretty much neutral on the elevator trim. I had quite a bit of down trim in the plane the first time around.

The one thing I can't stress enough is to keep power on during final, she will bleed speed in a hurry. Also keep the air pressure to a minimum in the tires. This will help reduce the tendency to bounce on landing.
