Getting close......brought the rx up to date (Hitec) and am now securing/shrink tubing all connections and cleaning up the electrical wires. Thread locking all screws and bolts as I go, a nice plane to assemble
and only a few changes were necessary. One was looping back the choke rod because it was too close to the firewall (35 RA) . I used the DLA furnished throttle arm, securing it with the set screw after filing a flat on the shaft and
then using a screw secured in the center of origional arm, long enough to fully grip the threads after a washer is installed, thread locker is also suggested.
S 08 Being here in the north a number of our fields have timber than can hide a plane for years. One I have flown on is built on a peat bog that shakes when you walk on it. The members use a Golf cart to transport their planes and other gear, It's surrounded with tall grass and has numerous pot-holes.................
