Yes. There are still some that have limited range.

I have been having very good luck with Tactic from Tower/Hobbico (part of the conglomerate that owns Futaba now). I have the TTX850 and am very pleased with what it offers for $180.00

The TR625 is a full-range dual antenna six channel receiver for $25. For $20 you can get the TR624 but I eye that single 1" antenna with suspician.

The Tactic will also bind any of the Great Planes SLT models - which is a nice thing if you like any of those.

I also have a Spektrum DX6i for the Flyzone type bind and flies. I have 10 models on this Tx and it has been a warhorse. Also highly recommended.
