Hi Chris,
The most difficult part is to make the cogs go smoothly together. The gearbox I have posted was made by Chinese modeler "Flying Swallow" and the design is still not perfect after 2 years of constant improvements.
The easiest way to get a differentiate steering gearbox is to buy the Tamiya Leopard 2 gearbox, then replace the gears with metal ones.
