Default Super Strong Magnets

Computer hard drives have some super strong magnets. I removed two magnets from an old hard drive. I stored these until a suitable project came along for their use.

So I'm now getting ready to run in a gas engine. I used one magnet to secure the fuel pump to the gallon gas can I am using. I glued a metal plate to the can and screwed the magnet to the pump. The magnet is so strong the pump does not move while in use. I can rotate and position the pump however I need it. I've just done some dry testing. I haven't pumped gas yet. Should work pretty good.

The magnet itself is quite small. It is tack welded to a mounting frame. The frame holes were a perfect fit for the pump screw holes. I just had to cut some of the frame away.

When time permits I will run in this engine.
