Default 1/18ish Toy Short Course truck hobby conversion

I picked up this little SC truck at Marshalls for $15 a few months ago with the intention of sticking some hobby bits into it. I brought it home and was impressed with the details: Lexan body, Hex mounted wheels, soft rubber, front/rear suspension (very stiff), Differential (very surprised to see this!). I had some leftover parts from other projects including a micro radio shack servo I bought on clearance for $5. As with all toy conversions, the steering was the hardest part. I ended up cutting out a plastic plate for the servo to mount to and picked up some ball cup joints from the LHS. The stock car uses 4 aaa batteries and that wouldn't do I had a few of those lithium ion batteries 18650 and wired them in series to a tamiya plug. The result is a fun but pretty slow, cool looking truck that handles really well.
