I purchased a 38"x80" hollow core door and a 4'x8' sheet of Homasote to lay over that, and that should accept the pins nicely. I have wax paper to cover my plans and double sided pads with removable adhesive, and flat head pins to lay the plans down flat and smoothly. I'll secure fromt he underside the door, then the Homasote to the edges of the desk, which is new and completely flat. I checked for flatness with a 3 foot aluminum level. Also, checked the door and Homasote when choosing them from Home Depot viewing the long edges to make sure they were true.

In a few days I should have my Robart electric retracts and will then start the process and start a build thread at that time.
