Other than slapping some dope inside, i didn't do anything to reinforce it. I run an FG-11 4 stroke Saito Gas engine in mine. It turns a 13x6 APC. The FG-11 comes with its own mount so I had to knock out the factory installed T-nuts, and re position them for the Saito mount, and thats about it.
