We've lost not only this fixed wing but a medcopter and crew in the same area but under much different weather circumstances. By the way the pilot of the fixed wing was a Blackhawk pilot with over 3000 hrs of flight time. He was a civilian pilot under contract to the CHP the observer was a sworn peace officer.
